Masked intruders broke into the Windsor Castle estate, where Prince William, Princess Kate, and their three children were asleep in their Adelaide Cottage residence. The alarming breach occurred just before midnight on Sunday, October 13, raising serious concerns about royal security.
The culprits reportedly used a stolen truck to break down a fence, gaining unauthorized access to the estate. They destroyed a security barrier at Shaw Farm Gate, which is near a route frequently used by the family, including Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Reports suggest that alarms were triggered during the incident, but it wasn’t fully understood until the gate collapsed.
The burglars stole a black Isuzu pick-up truck and a red quad bike from a nearby farm on the estate and were last seen heading toward the Old Windsor/Datchet area. So far, no arrests have been made, and police investigations are ongoing.
This shocking breach has reignited concerns about security measures at Windsor Castle. Critics have pointed to the decision to reduce armed officers at certain public entrances as a potential vulnerability. The incident highlights the need for a reassessment of safety protocols to protect the royal family and their residence.
