The Holy Monastery of Kykkos has firmly rejected recent online publications alleging that its monks have discovered a miraculous remedy capable of curing joint problems within 30 days. In an official announcement, the Monastery stated that the reports are “completely false and unfounded” and urged the public to ignore them entirely.
The misleading articles claimed that the monks possessed a secret therapeutic formula passed down through generations, which had allegedly “shocked the medical world.” Some reports even stated that the Monastery’s Abbot, Metropolitan Nikiforos of Kykkos and Tylliria, had spoken publicly about the remedy. The Monastery categorically denied all such claims.
The announcement emphasized that Metropolitan Nikiforos and the members of the monastic brotherhood are known for their seriousness, responsibility, and commitment both to their spiritual mission and to the well-being of the public. It condemned the online claims as attempts to mislead and financially exploit people who are suffering from chronic health conditions.
The Monastery also noted that the financial motive behind the publications is apparent, pointing out that the websites encourage readers to place “orders” for the alleged remedy, which require payment.
The Monastery concluded by urging that no attention or interest be given to these misleading and exploitative publications.
