In a move to aid investigations regarding a case involving fraudulent misrepresentation for monetary gain, the police apprehended a 52-year-old resident of Limassol yesterday.

The case was brought to the attention of the authorities by an 83-year-old villager from the Limassol province. According to preliminary investigations, the 52-year-old is alleged to have deceived the elderly individual in 23 separate instances, extracting funds under false pretenses. The motive behind these actions purportedly revolved around assisting the victim in reclaiming land lost several years prior. The aggrieved party reported that the total amount handed over to the suspect amounted to €12,830.

The arrest of the 52-year-old was carried out based on a judicial warrant issued against him. He has since been detained to facilitate further interrogation as part of ongoing inquiries.

The Limassol District Police are actively investigating the matter to uncover further details surrounding the case.
