Pitch your film, win international deals, Cyprus is rolling out the red carpet

Dot.on.the.Map Industry Days turns Limassol into the Mediterranean’s hotspot for bold filmmakers and global cinema connections.

Newsroom

Cyprus is rolling out the red carpet for filmmakers next April, hosting the seventh edition of Dot.on.the.Map Industry Days, a three-day co-production, training, and networking event designed to put the island at the center of Mediterranean cinema. The event runs April 23–25, 2026, alongside the 24th Cyprus Film Days International Festival.

The goal is ambitious: bring producers, directors, and scriptwriters from Europe, Africa, and Asia together with international industry professionals to pitch projects, form collaborations, and secure financing and distribution deals. Organizers hope the event will grow into a hub for both the creative and business sides of filmmaking in the region.

A key highlight is the Dot.on.the.Map Meeting Point, a co-production forum where 6–10 feature-length projects currently in development will be selected to pitch to international producers, financiers, sales agents, distributors, festival representatives, and broadcasters. Following the pitches, filmmakers will hold one-on-one meetings aimed at turning ideas into fully funded and distributed films.

Complementing this is Dot.on.the.Map Cinema Talks, offering masterclasses, panels, workshops, and seminars for filmmakers looking to sharpen their craft and business skills. The program is open to film industry professionals and accredited festival guests.

Applications for projects open December 17, 2025, and close January 27, 2026, giving filmmakers a chance to get their work in front of some of the most influential players in international cinema.

With the event, Cyprus aims not just to showcase films but to make the island a magnet for creative and financial partnerships, giving Mediterranean filmmakers a chance to turn bold ideas into global cinema hits.
