A fake email entitled  "GESY: Third dose of COVID-19 mRNA vaccine" is reportedly being sent to people in Cyprus showing GESY as the sender, according to the Health Insurance Agency.

GESY is warning the public not to open these emails and to delete immediately.  Opening the emails could result in the downloading of malware, which is a software specifically designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to a computer system.

According to GESY, the emails show a sender's adress of ghs@gesy.org.cy.  However, GESY wants to reassure the public that there is no immediate risk to the accessing of personal data on their systems since a dual identification process is required in order to enter the web portal.

The Digital Security Authority (DPA) has already been informed and they are investigating teh case.
