The first rainfall of the season on Friday seems to have brought turmoil to Cyprus highways, with where three traffic accidents were recorded on Friday afternoon as a result of the downpour.
According to police information, two collisions took place at the Lympia-Alampra height of the highway, involving two drivers who lost control of their car. Both drivers suffered light injuries and transferred to a hospital for tests.
Another collision happened at the Athienou exit. A 58-year-old crashed his car into a car driven by an 80-year-old, with both drivers later transferred to hospital.
