Christina Georgiou's award-winning documentary "The Stray Story: a Dogumentary," about stray animals and the actions that volunteers take to ensure their welfare, is currently being screened at K-Cineplex cinemas until November 9th.

The independent production "The Stray Story: a dogumentary", directed by the Cypriot musician and screenwriter, was filmed in five countries (Cyprus, Greece, Puerto Rico, USA and Romania) and has already been screened in more than 20 international festivals and has received 12 awards so far.

Tickets are 9 euros for adults and 7 euros for children under 11 years old. A portion of the net proceeds will be donated to an animal welfare charity.

Synopsis

People who help stray dogs remind us of basic human values in a consumer society where everything, including man's best friend, is disposable. The documentary exposes the problem and its solutions, while also exploring the human psyche in the Western world, through their experiences, victories, difficulties, and dilemmas.

Christina Georgiou is a composer, screenwriter, and filmmaker with a Ph.D. in music and is a member of the European Film Academy.
