Ukraine and Russia finalize deal on grain export

The move will help ease the global food crisis

An agreement for the safe export of grain from Ukraine was signed at noon on Friday by Kyiv and Moscow in Istanbul.

The agreement concerns the export of grain from Black Sea ports with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan noting that the move will help ease the global food crisis.

Russian and Ukrainian ministers signed the agreement separately, avoiding sitting at the same table.
