The Paphos Police Department, led by spokesperson Michael Nicolaou, is currently investigating six cases of theft involving charitable contribution boxes taken from bakery cash registers. Authorities are actively seeking a 40-year-old woman in connection with these incidents.

According to Mr. Nicolaou, reports were made on November 2, 3, and 5, by bakery managers from four different establishments in Paphos, indicating the theft of these contribution boxes. In two instances, the stolen boxes contained €150, while in the third case, the sum was €100.

The investigation is ongoing regarding the amount stolen from the contribution box on Sunday night.

During examinations conducted by investigators, testimony was obtained against a 40-year-old woman who is a permanent resident of Paphos. An arrest warrant has been issued for her, and she is currently wanted by law enforcement.

On Sunday evening, an employee from one of the bakeries reportedly pursued the suspect, but the alleged thief managed to escape by boarding a waiting vehicle, accompanied by another individual.

It's worth noting that the 40-year-old woman is also wanted in connection with two additional cases that occurred towards the end of October.
