The meteorology department has issued a yellow warning for high temperatures, effective from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. today. We're expecting the interior to reach a scorching 41 degrees Celsius.
Currently, our region is under the influence of seasonal low pressure and an unstable air mass.
Today’s forecast: mostly clear skies this morning, but watch out for increasing clouds in the afternoon. These could bring isolated showers, particularly in the mountains. Winds will be blowing from the southwest to northwest, starting off light at 3 Beaufort, then picking up to a moderate 4 Beaufort, and occasionally reaching a strong 5 Beaufort along the southern coast. The sea will be a bit rough. Temperatures will rise to 41 degrees in the interior, 33 degrees on the west coast, around 35 degrees on the rest of the coast, and 31 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight, we’ll see mainly clear skies with some areas experiencing increased low clouds. Winds will remain from the southwest to northwest, generally light at 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to around 25 degrees in the interior, south, and east coasts, 24 degrees on the west and north coasts, and 21 degrees in the higher mountains.
Looking ahead, Thursday will be mostly clear. On Friday and Saturday, we’ll start off with clear skies, but clouds will increase in the afternoon, likely bringing isolated showers, especially in the mountains.
Temperatures will gradually rise slightly above climatic averages.
