Authorities are currently investigating a serious altercation involving the injury of a minor with a knife, as reported by the police.
The incident reportedly occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday (02/07), when law enforcement was alerted to a confrontation among minors in Nicosia, resulting in the stabbing of a 15-year-old in the abdominal area.
Police officers promptly responded and proceeded to the Makarios Hospital, where the injured minor is currently receiving medical treatment. The young victim informed authorities that he was stabbed by another minor, though he remains unaware of the assailant's identity.
Following medical examinations, a suspect has been identified based on testimony gathered. It is noted that while the 15-year-old's injury is deemed serious, he is fortunately out of danger, as no vital organs were affected by the stabbing.
