Early-morning shooting at his Germasogeia wine cellar marks the latest in a string of alarming criminal acts.

For the fourth time in roughly five months, a well-known 40-year-old businessman from Limassol has found himself in the crosshairs of crime. This time, the target was his wine cellar in Germasogeia, which came under fire in the early hours of the morning, sparking a fresh wave of police activity.

According to authorities, the attacker, face hidden and riding a motorcycle, approached the cellar, opened fire, and vanished into the night. Surveillance cameras reportedly captured the figure, but no arrests have been made so far. The police were on the scene at first light, while extra security measures have already been put in place to protect the businessman.

This latest incident is part of a string of alarming attacks that began last November. It started with luxury cars belonging to the businessman being torched in a private parking lot in Mouttagiaka. In December, arsonists struck his Germasogeia wine cellar, causing extensive damage. Then, his Limassol restaurant became the target of a bomb attack, an incident that led to the arrest of two Turkish Cypriots who remain in custody.

With the fourth attack now confirmed, law enforcement officials are on high alert. Investigators are piecing together testimonies, CCTV footage, and other evidence to uncover who is behind this campaign and what message they are trying to send.

For residents and authorities alike, the repeated attacks have raised serious concerns about escalating criminal threats in Limassol and the lengths someone will go to target this particular businessman.
