In today’s weather update, the area begins to feel the effects of weak low pressure, accompanied by some light atmospheric dust expected to clear by tomorrow. Conditions today will be predominantly sunny, with intervals of partly cloudy skies throughout the day. Winds will shift from northeast to southeast, and in the western regions from southwest to northwest, blowing at a light to moderate pace, 3 to 4 on the Beaufort scale, before settling southwest to northwest across all areas, maintaining similar strength. Sea conditions are anticipated to range from rough to slightly choppy. Temperature-wise, we’re looking at a high of around 24°C inland, 23°C on the southeast coast, 21°C on the west coast, 22°C along other coastal areas, and a cooler 16°C in the higher mountain regions.
As night falls, the sky will largely clear, though the western parts may see partly cloudy conditions with a chance of isolated light rain, especially on the northwestern coast. Winds will continue primarily from the southwest to northwest, staying light, with occasional moderate gusts, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will calm slightly but may turn a bit rough again in western and northern waters. Overnight temperatures are expected to fall to about 8°C inland, 12°C on the west, southeast, and east coasts, 10°C along other coastal regions, and down to 4°C in the mountainous areas.
Looking ahead to Thursday, the day will start mostly sunny, but clouds will gather as the day progresses, leading to isolated showers in the afternoon, particularly in the mountainous and eastern parts. By evening, the west might also see some isolated rainfall. The weather on Friday is set to bring more clouds and isolated showers, starting in the west and spreading to the mountains and eastern parts of the island, with a slight chance of thunderstorms.
Saturday's forecast suggests an increase in cloud cover during the afternoon, which could result in isolated showers, mainly in the mountains, inland areas, and the east.
Temperatures will experience a noticeable drop by Friday, aligning closely with seasonal averages, before slightly increasing on Saturday.
