The British Bases said on Friday there were deliberating with both sides on the necessary coronavirus protection measures, noting that for the time being there are no plans to close the Pergamos and Strovilia crossings.
A spokesperson for the British High Commission told the Cyprus News Agency that “the Administration of the British Bases is deliberating with the two sides to limit the threat of coronavirus. For now, there are no plans to close the Pergamos and Strovilia checkpoints”.
Four out of the nine crossings were closed by the Government last month in what it said was a move to prevent a coronavirus outbreak on the island.
