Cloudy skies and a chance of rain are in the weekend forecast, with Friday temperatures in the mid-30’s expected to take a dip before the weekend is out.
Friday mostly clear throughout the day with partly cloudy skies later in the afternoon and a chance of local rain showers mainly near the foothills and on the mountains.
A low pressure system is affecting the area over Cyprus, with light winds from the southeast and southwest developing into afternoon southwesterly and northwesterly winds, while strong winds are expected in the south and isolated parts in the west.
On Saturday, more clouds will set between periods in and there will be dust in the air
Sea will be relatively calm while choppy waters are expected in the south and parts of the west.
Maximum temperatures will be 36° Celsius inland, 30° on the western coast, 33 in all other coastal regions, and 28° up in the highest elevations on the mountains.
In the evening, weather will be mostly clear with light winds and calm to relatively calm seas.
Minimum temperatures will drop to 20° Celsius inland, 32° around the coast, and 16° up in the highest elevations on the mountains.

Sunday will be cloudy with a higher chance of local rain showers, mainly near the foothills, on the mountains, and possibly inland.
Monday will be mostly clear during periods, interchanging with shifting cloudy skies, with a chance of rain showers and possibly thunderstorms.
Temperatures are expected to take a dip Sunday and Monday.
