Consumers are being warned of a potential allergen in pork meatballs that are being sold at Foodsaver.
The product is said to contain celery, which is an allergen, and may cause an allergic reaction to some consumers.
According to the Ministry of Health, the packaging of the product in question does not list celery on its list of ingredients, which is a violation of the legislation on food labeling.
The company responsible for the repackaging of the product has been informed and a recall of the batches have begun.
Consumers who think they may have an allergic reaction to celery and have already purchased the product are urged to return them to their nearest Foodsaver.
