On Tuesday (30/05), Cyprus experienced a sudden change in weather with heavy rainfall and hail across the island, creating a wintry scene. The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for severe thunderstorms, attributing the unstable air mass as the cause.
The Police have reported limited visibility and water accumulation in Lympion, Athienou, and Kosi due to adverse weather conditions. They advise drivers to exercise caution.
According to the meteorological service, the afternoon will be partly cloudy, locally mostly cloudy, with isolated showers and occasional thunderstorms, primarily in inland areas.
