EAC demands to be revisited on January 13

The meeting will include representatives from the Ministries of Finance, Labor, and Trade, as well as employee unions and the organization's Board of Directors.

According to Labour Minister Kyriakos Kousios, an all-sides meeting is planned for next week. The meeting has been scheduled for Friday, January 13, in order to re-discuss the unions' demands of the Electricity Authority of Cyprus in order to find solutions and avoid the strike measures announced last month.

Labour Minister Kyriakos Kousios told "K" that an approximate date for the meeting of all parties was set during today's meeting with the two ministers of finance and commerce. He also provided an update on his actions. He expects to receive a briefing from the EAC board on the details he has requested in the coming days, followed by the meeting, he said.

He emphasized that his role is one of mediation, and whether or not employee demands can be met is up to the Ministers of Finance and Energy.
