Expect clear skies, gentle winds, and gradual temperature changes

The shifting conditions on the island under seasonal low pressure

Newsroom / CNA

Today, we're looking at mostly clear skies, although there might be some low clouds initially. The winds will primarily come from the southwest to northwest, light to moderate, ranging from 3 to 4 Beaufort. As we move into the afternoon, winds might strengthen a bit, especially along the southern coast, reaching up to a strong 4 to 5 Beaufort. Out on the sea, expect slightly rough conditions. Temperature-wise, we'll see a high of 38 degrees in the interior, around 31 degrees on the western coast, approximately 33 degrees along the rest of the coast, and a cooler 30 degrees in the higher mountains.

As we transition into the evening, the skies will stay mainly clear, but don't be surprised if some low clouds make an appearance. There's a chance of thin fog or mist forming locally, mainly during the morning hours. Winds, initially blowing from the southwest to northwest, will be light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, becoming variable light at 3 Beaufort later on. The sea conditions will gradually become calm to slightly rough. Overnight temperatures are expected to drop to around 21 degrees inland, approximately 23 degrees on the coast, and a cooler 18 degrees in the higher mountains.

Moving on to Thursday, expect mostly clear skies with occasional clouds drifting by. Temperature-wise, we're not anticipating any significant changes, as they should stay close to the average climatic values.

As we head into Friday, the skies will remain mostly clear, and temperatures are set to show a gradual, slight increase.

The weekend forecast for Saturday indicates that clear skies will prevail. Temperatures are projected to experience a gradual, slight rise as well. Stay tuned for further updates as conditions evolve.
