Four young girls from the GC School of Careers Elementary in Cyprus have come together to create a touching song of peace, hoping to inspire people around the world to work towards a brighter future. The students, Kristie Stylianou, Maria Pissarides, Olivia Chiromeridou and Sophia Stephanou, all 10 years old, poured their hearts into the song, titled "The Life of Peace," with the help of their music teacher, Mr. Marios Skentos.
Their dedication paid off when the song was selected as one of the top three submissions out of 159 entries in the European School Radio Competition in Zakynthos in April 2023. The song stands out for its uplifting tempo and inspiring message of hope and resilience.
The four girls wrote the lyrics themselves, emphasizing the importance of our shared humanity and how the new generation can bring about positive change toward peace and freedom. They acknowledge the challenges of our times but choose to focus on the positive and how we can all work together to make the world a better place.
The song's success is a testament to the girls' hard work and commitment, and it's clear that their message resonates with people all over the world. It serves as a reminder that even the youngest among us can make a meaningful contribution to the world and that we all have a role to play in creating a better future.
