Golden Globes guests trade trophies for million-dollar extravaganza

And we're not jealous... Okay, maybe a little

Newsroom

While the world watched with bated breath as Hollywood's finest graced the Golden Globes stage, a different kind of drama was unfolding backstage. According to People Magazine, each attendee, from Oscar-winning legends to presenters who probably stumbled into the wrong room, was bestowed with a truly astonishing gift: a $1 million luxury "experience bag."

Yes, you read that correctly. A cool million dollars worth of pampering, travel, and experiences, all neatly packaged and handed to celebrities who likely already have more money than most of us will ever see.

While we're probably still scraping the last remnants of dinner off our plates, these lucky folks were treated to a $60,000 facelift (because apparently, Hollywood frowns upon the aging process), a $60,000 yacht trip to sail away from the paparazzi (and, you know, the rest of us), and a $500,000+ villa stay in Turks and Caicos. Just because.

And that's merely the tip of the iceberg. This extravagant goodie bag also included a $40,000 stem cell facelift (because one facelift just wasn't enough, apparently), a $25,000 personal dance and workout session to prepare for those endless red carpets, and a $15,000 treadmill for when dancing and facelifts aren't quite enough to maintain that Hollywood glow.

Frankly, if you've ever fantasized about living the life of a movie star – or at least, the life of a movie star's bank account – the Golden Globes experience bag had you covered.

Meanwhile, the rest of us are left scrolling through social media, gawking at the extravagant displays of wealth, and wondering if we could maybe trade in our slightly-stained coffee mugs for a lifetime supply of stem cell treatments.
