In a recent interview with SPORT FM on the "Diaspora of News" program, Alekos Tryfonidis, a member of the DIKO party in Parliament and a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Affairs, projected that the government aims to present a comprehensive draft law to address disparities in pension benefits for former and current officials within the next six months.
According to Tryfonidis, discussions held on Monday (16/10) suggest that the draft legislation is expected to undergo a parliamentary vote before the current legislative session concludes, effectively resolving issues related to multiple pension entitlements for officials.
Additionally, Tryfonidis indicated that his communication with the Presidency of the Republic has conveyed a strong commitment from the government to tackle this problem. He underscored the shared responsibility of the Parliament in achieving this particular objective.
