HR Legend Beth Davies at the Digital Agenda Cyprus Summit

Beth Davies, renowned for her contributions to staffing Tesla factories and developing Apple stores, will be a key speaker at the Digital Agenda Cyprus Summit.

Press Release

With over 25 years of senior leadership experience at innovative global companies such as Tesla, Apple, Microsoft, and Gap, Beth Davies is a distinguished expert in cultivating company culture, creating customer-centric organizations, developing executives, and fostering a culture of innovation.

Most recently, Beth served as Head of Learning & Development at Tesla for six years. During her tenure, the company expanded from 600 to 33,000 employees, and she played a crucial role in developing and maintaining the company culture amidst this rapid growth.

Beth also played a pivotal role in Apple’s ascent. She joined Apple’s HR team in 2003 as Head of People Development during a critical period for the company. By 2005, she transitioned to the retail team and became Head of Training for retail stores worldwide. Her team was instrumental in Apple’s retail expansion, training over 100 new store teams in the US and new markets across Europe, Asia, and Australia. A highlight of her career at Apple was in 2007 when she trained over 4,000 people on the revolutionary iPhone just two hours before the stores opened, despite the company's secretive nature.

Beth holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a law degree from Stanford Law School. In 2017, she was invited by McKinsey & Company to join the Consortium for Advancing Adult Learning & Development, a select group of 40 thought leaders. That same year, Indiana University honored her as a Distinguished Alumna, an accolade given to only 12 individuals before her.

Currently, Beth is the Founder and Lead Consultant of HR Reimagined, where she collaborates with clients, primarily startups, to develop and implement talent management strategies tailored to their unique cultures.

Digital Agenda Cyprus Summit 2024: “Digital Democracy”

The leading new-age conference, Digital Agenda Cyprus Summit, will be held on October 9 at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre. This year’s theme, “Digital Democracy,” will explore digitalization, innovation, and participation. Topics will include participatory democracy, the digitalization of business and government, talent recruitment and inspiration in business, new communication methods in the age of artificial intelligence, and the convergence of technology and medicine to tackle previously incurable diseases.

Like last year, the conference will feature two stages: the Main Stage and the Alpha Stage, the latter focusing on startups from Cyprus and abroad. Additionally, the third event of the conference, the Cyprus Cocktail Festival, will see the city join conference delegates in an event expected to attract more than five thousand attendees.

The conference is held under the auspices of the Cyprus Presidency, with the Bank of Cyprus and CYTA as main sponsors.
