Newsroom
It’s a new week, and the weather’s doing that thing where it looks chill but keeps checking its phone for drama. A weak low-pressure system is meandering over the area, not enough to cause chaos, but definitely enough to make the atmosphere a bit gossipy.
Today:
Mostly clear skies with some clouds wandering in like kids on half-term, popping up where you least expect them and generally refusing to stay indoors. Winds are keeping things casual from the southwest to northwest, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea’s calm to slightly rough, which is basically the marine equivalent of “I’m fine, really.” Temperatures are topping out around 27°C inland and on the southern and eastern coasts, 25°C elsewhere, and a brisk 18°C up in the mountains (where introverts of the week can find refuge).
Tonight:
Still mostly clear, with a few clouds staying up past their bedtime. Winds flip direction to the northwest or northeast, and southeast along the northern coast, at a gentle 3 Beaufort. The sea keeps its cool, calm to slightly rough, probably dreaming of being a lake.
Tuesday to Thursday:
The weather’s on its best behavior, mostly clear but occasionally throwing in a bit of cloud cover just to remind us it’s still in charge. A decent run of days ahead, perfect for anyone on half-term adventures, or those just pretending to be.
