For the first time, passenger traffic at Larnaca and Paphos airports surpassed the 500,000 mark in February, reflecting an 8% increase compared to the same month last year. Passenger traffic has also grown by 7.39% year-to-date, when compared to the same period in 2024, according to a statement from the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Works.
February typically sees the lowest passenger traffic of the year, making this achievement even more significant. The Ministry emphasized that the 535,423 passengers recorded in February 2025 represents an 8% year-on-year increase.
Since the beginning of 2025, passenger traffic has experienced its largest year-on-year growth, with a rise of 7.39% compared to 2024.
At Larnaca Airport, passenger numbers saw a notable 12.4% increase, continuing the positive trend from 2024. However, Paphos Airport recorded a slight decline of 2.95% compared to last year.
The Ministry also pointed out that key markets for Cyprus include Greece, the United Kingdom, Poland, Israel, and Germany. Aircraft movements have increased by 4.85% compared to 2024, reaching a total of 4,713 flights.
