Rainfall and snowfall take center stage this weekend

Newsroom

Today, increased cloud cover is anticipated to bring isolated showers, with the possibility of snow or sleet on the highest peaks of Troodos. Winds will shift from northwest to southwest, creating a slightly choppy sea.

Temperatures will reach around 19 degrees inland and along the coasts, dropping to approximately 6 degrees in higher mountainous areas.

Tonight, expect more clouds, isolated showers mainly in the west and north, and a potential drop in temperature to about 7 degrees inland, 11 degrees on the coasts, and 2 degrees in the higher mountains, where icy patches may form.

Friday's weather will start partly cloudy, gradually becoming overcast with scattered showers, especially in the west. In the afternoon, local rain showers and isolated thunderstorms are forecasted, with the chance of snow or sleet on Troodos' highest peaks and some mountainous areas.

Saturday is expected to be predominantly cloudy with rain and isolated thunderstorms. Troodos' highest peaks and certain mountainous areas might see snow or sleet. Sunday could bring sporadic increased cloudiness, leading to isolated rain showers.

Temperature-wise, Friday will maintain Thursday's levels, Saturday will experience a slight drop, and Sunday will hover around Saturday's values, slightly above the average climatic temperatures. Stay weather-prepared for this dynamic weekend ahead!
