Yellow warning issued for 40-degree weather in the interior, mid-30’s along coastlines

A heat advisory went into effect Saturday afternoon due to extreme high temperatures in the interior, with levels expected to remain unchanged for the next few days.

Weather officials issued a yellow warning for Saturday afternoon, from 1pm through 4:30pm, citing “extreme high temperature” inland expected to rise to around 40° degrees Celsius.

Humidity levels going up east and west, temperatures expected to remain high through early next week

Saturday skies will be mostly clear with humidity remaining low in most parts while trending upwards in the west.

Temperatures are expected to stay the same or trend upwards on Sunday and remain unchanged Monday and Tuesday, with clear skies all the way.

Saturday highs were expected to reach 40 inland, 32 in the west, around 35 in all other coastal regions, while it will be 30 up in the mountains.

Clear skies are also expected Saturday evening, while there is a chance of low cloud formation over local areas. Minimum lows will drop to 25 degrees inland, south and east, around 23 in the north and out west, while it will be around 18 in the mountains.
