Slightly cooler temperatures in store

Weak low pressure system hits the area

Newsroom

A weak low-pressure system is impacting the region, leading to fluctuating weather conditions. Residents can expect a mix of cloud cover and isolated precipitation in the coming days.

The day will commence with partly cloudy skies, but as the day progresses, we anticipate an increase in cloud cover, particularly in the mountainous areas and the eastern half of the island. Isolated showers or thunderstorms are likely to occur in these regions.

Winds will predominantly blow from the northwest to northeast, with a light to moderate breeze, ranging from 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea conditions will be choppy to slightly rough.

Temperature-wise, expect daytime highs around 31 degrees Celsius inland, approximately 30 degrees along the coast, and 21 degrees in the higher mountainous regions.

As nightfall descends, the weather is expected to clear up with mostly clear skies. Winds will maintain a northwest to northeast direction, blowing lightly at 3 Beaufort. The sea conditions will be calm to slightly choppy.

Overnight temperatures will dip to around 17 degrees inland, approximately 18 degrees on the coast, and 11 degrees in the higher elevations.

On Thursday, the weather will start partly cloudy and progressively become cloudier. Isolated rain is expected, primarily in the highlands and inland areas. This trend of intermittent clouds and the possibility of isolated mountain showers is likely to persist into Friday and Saturday.

While temperatures may experience a slight drop on Thursday, they will remain above the seasonal average, with no significant changes anticipated for Friday and Saturday.
