After a Monday that felt like it lasted a year, Tuesday is settling in with a weak low-pressure system that seems more interested in a nap than a storm. It’s a "business as usual" kind of day for the island, provided your business doesn't involve hiking without a raincoat.
We’re starting with mostly clear skies, but don't ignore the horizon if you’re near the Troodos range. After lunch, a few clouds are expected to huddle over the peaks, potentially dropping some isolated showers. For the rest of us, it’s mostly just blue sky.
The wind is starting off shy and variable at 3 Beaufort, eventually deciding to blow from the southwest and northwest. It’ll be a light to moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort, with a slightly more confident breeze along the southern and eastern coasts.
Temps in the inland areas are hitting a very respectable 25°C. The coasts vary from a breezy 21°C in the west to 23°C in the southeast. Meanwhile, the higher mountains are sticking to a chilly 15°C. Definitely still sweater weather up there.
Tonight remains clear, though the western and northern coasts might see some low-hanging clouds. If you’re driving inland or out east in the early hours of Wednesday, watch out for patches of mist or fog. It’s just the atmosphere losing visibility before sunrise.
Wednesday and Thursday are looking like carbon copies of today; mostly clear with the occasional drifting cloud. However, keep your antihistamines ready for Friday: we’re expecting more cloud cover, a stray shower or two, and the return of some light dust in the air.
Temperatures aren't going anywhere fast, staying right where they should be for this time of year. It’s the perfect weather for getting through the mid-week slump without any meteorological excuses to leave work early.
