A 20-year-old male from Paphos is facing criminal trial next month following allegations that he raped an underage girl, while another young man is being accused of sexually abusing a girl in her early teens.
According to local media, the 20-year-old has been accused of rape by a 15-year-old girl, whose parents are foreign nationals living in Paphos permanently. The man was arrested ten days ago after the alleged victim, described as a Russian teenage girl, said she was raped by the defendant.

A local report said a Paphos District Judge on Wednesday ordered the defendant released from custody until his trial on December 2. According to Philenews, the 20-year-old posted bail to the tune of €4000 in cash and also signed an unsecured bond for €25,000.
The judge also signed a restraining order against the defendant, ordering him to stay at least 300 metres away from his accuser. His name was also placed on a stop list, banning him from boarding a plane while he was also asked not to cross into the north while trial is pending.
Police did not issue an official report but the man is understood to have been remanded in custody previously for eight days.
Another young adult accused by underage girl
In the meantime, another young man aged 23 was arrested in Limassol following a complaint by a 14-year-old girl who accused him of sexual abuse.
The suspect was remanded on Wednesday for six days by a Limassol District judge, as police investigate the complaint. Reports said officers also found a small quantity of drugs in his possession during the arrest.
