Two underage children were allegedly kidnapped and held for several hours by an unknown man in a park, according to a complaint made on April 20 to the Nicosia CID. The serious complaint, which has been forwarded to the Prosecution Authorities of the capital, accuses the unknown man of demanding money from the children in exchange for their freedom, while also threatening to kill them if they did not comply.
The minors reported that the unknown man took their phones and promised to return them the next day in exchange for money. After being released, the children informed their parents and gave a description of the foreign suspect.
Authorities are currently conducting investigations into the matter.
