A weak low-pressure system is dominating the area.
Today, we anticipate the dissipation of local low clouds and thin fog, leading to mostly clear conditions across the majority of the region. However, as we progress into the afternoon, the formation of clouds is expected, giving rise to isolated showers and thunderstorms in mountainous areas and the eastern half of the island. Thunderstorms may also bring hail. Initially, winds will be predominantly light to moderate, ranging from south to southwest at 3 Beaufort, locally increasing to moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort along the coast. Later in the day, winds will shift from mainly southwest to northwest at light to moderate speeds of 3 to 4 Beaufort, while the southern coast experiences a moderate to strong breeze of 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea conditions will range from rough to slightly choppy. Temperature-wise, inland areas will reach around 32 degrees Celsius, the northern coast around 29 degrees, the rest of the coast around 27 degrees, and the higher mountains around 21 degrees.
Tonight, the weather will become mostly clear, with the possibility of low clouds appearing later along the west and north coasts. Winds will primarily come from the southwesterly to northwesterly direction, light at 3 Beaufort, locally increasing to moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort, before becoming light and variable at 2 to 3 Beaufort. The sea conditions will transition to calm to slightly rough. As for temperatures, inland areas will cool down to around 18 degrees Celsius, the coast will see temperatures of approximately 20 degrees, and the higher mountains will experience lows of around 11 degrees.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, we can expect developing clouds during the midday and afternoon, resulting in localized showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly affecting mountainous areas and the eastern half of the island. On Wednesday, there is a possibility of isolated showers occurring in the mountains and potentially inland. However, by Thursday, the weather will mainly be clear, although some areas may experience increasing clouds in the afternoon.
Temperature-wise, Tuesday will show no significant changes, but as we progress towards Thursday, we anticipate a gradual rise, surpassing the average climatic values.
