In a significant initiative, a four-member team from ''Volunteer Doctors - Cyprus,'' formerly known as Doctors of the World, is gearing up for a medical-humanitarian mission to Egypt.

As CNA reports, the primary objective is to extend crucial aid to the civilian population in Gaza, starting their operations in the city of Rafah.

This compassionate endeavor, scheduled for Friday, is fueled by a collective dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

The NGO proudly announced that the Cyprus team members, including Dr. Yiorgos Makrygiannis, Dr. Eleni Theocharous, Dr. Andreas Kaouros, and esteemed Cyprus News Agency photographer Katia Christodoulou, will be at the forefront of this mission.

In a press release, the NGO highlighted a significant contribution from the Medochemie Pharmaceutical Industry, who donated a substantial ten tons of pharmaceutical materials.

These supplies will be delivered to the Egyptian Red Crescent, further emphasizing the collaborative effort to address the urgent medical needs of the affected population.

As the team sets off on this compassionate journey, their dedication to providing essential healthcare becomes a beacon of hope for the region.

The story unfolds with a sense of purpose and solidarity, encapsulating the spirit of "Volunteer Doctors - Cyprus" as they embark on this critical mission to make a difference in the lives of those facing adversity in Gaza.
