An international arrest warrant was issued for a 56-year-old man who was apprehended yesterday afternoon at Larnaca airport.
The 56-year-old man arrived at Larnaca Airport shortly after seven o'clock in the afternoon, when it was discovered during a passport check that he was wanted internationally by US authorities for offenses relating to 1. Exporting arms, 2. Conspiracy to commit crimes, 3.Making false statements, and other related offenses committed between 2015 and 2023.
The 56-year-old was arrested on the basis of a temporary arrest warrant and is scheduled to appear before the Larnaca District Court today to begin extradition proceedings.
