A seasonal low-pressure system is steering the show today, making sure the weather doesn’t get too predictable.
Today: Intervals of locally increased cloud cover will make an appearance, particularly when you’ve just put your sunglasses on. Winds are coming in from the southwest to northwest, moderate to strong at 4-5 Beaufort, and by the afternoon on the southern coast they may even crank things up to very strong 6 Beaufort, if you’re counting. Translation: don’t trust your beach hat. Seas will be slight to rough depending on where you stand. Temperatures will climb to 31°C inland, 29°C along the coasts, and 23°C in the higher mountains, which will smugly stay cooler than everyone else.
Tonight: Mostly clear skies return, but the seas won’t let go of their restlessness. They'll be rough in the west and north, slight to moderate elsewhere. Winds ease back to light to moderate, 3-4 Beaufort, finally giving hair a fighting chance. Temperatures drop to 19°C inland, 21°C on the coasts, and 14°C in the higher mountains. Yes, that’s blanket weather up there.
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: Clouds will still hang around in intervals, with the mountains most likely to see a passing shower. Otherwise, it’s steady as she goes, with temperatures staying close to the seasonal averages.
