A seasonal low-pressure system is in charge, and it’s doing what it does best: keeping things mostly sunny, with just enough afternoon drama to keep the mountains from getting bored.
Today: Skies will be mostly clear, though by the afternoon, extra cloud cover could pile up in the mountains, possibly dropping an isolated shower. Winds will blow from southwest to northwest, light to moderate (3-4 Beaufort), but along the coasts they may kick up to 5 Beaufort later in the day, a solid reminder to anchor down anything not nailed to the ground. The sea will be slightly rough. Temperatures: 38°C inland (cue oven jokes), 34°C on the southern, eastern, and northern coasts, 31°C on the west coast, and 27°C in the higher mountains where, yes, it’s cooler, but not exactly sweater weather.
Tonight: Mostly clear again, though low cloud cover could sneak into the west and north. Winds will settle into northwest to northeast, light at 3 Beaufort, and the sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will dip to 22°C inland and along the coasts, and 17°C in the higher mountains, refreshingly close to “sleep with a sheet” weather.
Friday & Saturday: Mostly clear, but the mountains may invite clouds for a quick afternoon shower or two. Nothing widespread, just nature keeping hikers humble.
Sunday: Back to mostly clear, drama-free skies.
Temperatures: Gradually stepping down through Saturday, then holding steady on Sunday, hovering close to the seasonal average. Summer's finally deciding to play fair.
