A seasonal low-pressure system has slipped in, making itself comfortable and tinkering with the skies.
Today: Expect mostly clear weather to start, but the afternoon could bring some theatrics. Clouds will gather, especially over the mountains, and may toss down an isolated shower or, if they’re feeling extra, a thunderstorm. Winds will spend the morning acting calm (3 Beaufort), then firm up to a more insistent moderate by afternoon (4 Beaufort). Along the southern coast, they’ll flex a bit harder, hitting 5 Beaufort just to keep you humble. Seas will stay slightly rough, which is meteorologist-speak for “don’t trust your inflatable flamingo.” Temperatures are climbing to 36°C inland, 30°C out west, 32°C across the other coasts, and a cooler 25°C up in the highlands.
Tonight: The skies will settle back into mostly clear. Winds will shift northwest, light at 3 Beaufort but occasionally nudging up to 4 Beaufort. The sea will remain slightly rough, but nothing dramatic. Temperatures will drop to 21°C inland, 24°C on the west coast, 22°C elsewhere along the shore, and a brisk 16°C in the higher mountains, perfect if you need an excuse to dig out a sweater.
Thursday, Friday & Saturday: A mostly clear streak continues, but clouds will wander through from time to time, especially in the afternoons. Think of them as background extras rather than main characters.
