A young driver is in critical condition following a violent head-on collision in Limassol on Thursday night.

According to police, a 19-year-old local male was driving Thursday night in Trachoni, a western suburb in Limassol, when his car veered from his lane and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.
The young man, described as a Greek Cypriot, was rushed to the Emergency Room at Limassol General Hospital, where doctors on duty determined he had suffered a severe head injury.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 21-year-old male, was also taken to the hospital along with his front seat passenger, a 16-year-old female. Both were described as locals and were treated for minor injuries before being discharged.
Episkopi police station is investigating the incident while there were no arrests in the case.
The condition of the 19-year-old remained critical as of Friday morning.
