President Nicos Anastasiades today expressed his sincerest gratitude to Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis for providing Cyprus with its own Presidential aircraft to be used by government officials for authorized trips abroad.

The Greek PM is in town today to attend a DISY conference later Monday evening, but not before visiting the President of the Republic at the Presidential Palace this morning.

Both leaders made their respective remarks on various issues facing Greece and Cyprus, after which President Anastasiades announced that Greece would be giving Cyprus one of their 3 private airplanes for official use.

"I want to thank you for the generous donation that concerns something that was missing from the Republic of Cyprus and contributes to the travel of the President and the Ministers," the President said.

PM Mitsotakis replied that the aircraft being given to Cyprus is a token of gratitude from the Greek people for Cyprus' help during the big fires in Mati.
