Brace yourself for rain and a drop in temperatures

Get ready for a change in weather as the Meteorological Service predicts the onset of rain accompanied by a drop in temperature in the coming days

Today, the area is under the influence of weak high pressure, resulting in mostly clear skies but occasional medium and high clouds. The winds will blow mainly from the northeast to southeast, with a strength of around 3 on the Beaufort scale, occasionally increasing to a moderate 4. The sea will be slightly rough. Temperatures will be quite warm, reaching 30 degrees Celsius in the interior, around 28 on the eastern and southern coasts, 26 on the remaining coasts, and 20 degrees in the higher mountains.

As we head into the evening, the weather will become partly cloudy with some medium and high clouds. The winds will be predominantly from the north to northeast, with a strength of around 3 on the Beaufort scale, locally increasing to a moderate 4. The sea will remain somewhat rough. Temperatures will drop to around 15 degrees Celsius inland, around 17 on the coast, and 12 degrees in the higher mountains.

From Friday, low pressure is expected to affect the area, leading to partly cloudy skies with some medium and high clouds. There is a possibility of light rain in some areas, and the atmosphere may contain some light dust. Temperatures will remain at similar levels to those of previous days, which are higher than the climatic averages.

On both Saturday and Sunday, mainly cloudy skies are expected at times, with local showers and isolated thunderstorms possible. Temperatures are expected to gradually drop significantly over the weekend.
