CBC: Top savings interest rate in Cyprus hits 2.45%

Cyprus Development Bank offers leading housing loans at 4.96%, highlighting rising borrowing costs in a competitive lending environment

In August 2024, the Central Bank of Cyprus reported that the highest interest rate for term deposits of up to one year for households reached 2.45%. The National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) offered this rate, while Hellenic Bank provided the lowest at 1.36%. For businesses, Hellenic Bank led with a 2.83% deposit rate.

Regarding home loans, the Cyprus Development Bank had the highest floating interest rate at 4.96%, followed by Eurobank Cyprus at 4.65%. The lowest rate for household loans was 3.02%, offered by the Housing Finance Corporation. For company loans up to 1 million euros, Banque SBA topped the list with 8.05%.
