Clouds and showers rolling in

Isolated showers expected across the island

Newsroom

Today, you might notice the clouds starting to roll in, bringing some isolated showers. These showers will first appear in the west and north, and then spread to the mountains and interior areas later on. Winds will mostly come from the southwest to northwest, staying light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort.

However, if you're on the southern coast this afternoon, expect stronger winds up to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a bit choppy. Temperatures will reach around 29 degrees Celsius inland, about 28 degrees on the southeast, east, and north coasts, around 26 degrees on the rest of the coast, and a cooler 22 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight, expect patchy low clouds, mainly in the west and north. There’s also a good chance of fog forming inland and in the east later on. You might notice some sparse dust in the air as well. Winds will gradually shift to mainly northwest to northeast and will be light at 2 to 3 Beaufort, with the sea calming down. Temperatures will drop to around 16 degrees inland, 17 degrees along the coast, and about 8 degrees in the higher mountains.

Looking ahead to Wednesday and Thursday, we’re expecting isolated showers in the mountains and inland areas, especially around noon and in the afternoon. By Friday, things should clear up, giving us mainly sunny skies.

Temperatures will slowly rise a bit through Friday, settling close to the average for this time of year.
