Concerns arise over alleged poisoned bait tactics among Cyprus hunters

The Cyprus Animals Party urges authorities to act swiftly to protect wildlife and human safety

Newsroom

The Cyprus Animals Party has issued a statement expressing concern over reports of hunters allegedly deploying poisoned baits to obstruct fellow hunters from capturing hares. This practice, according to the party, poses a threat to both innocent animals and human lives.

In response, the Party for Cyprus Animals is urging the Ministry of Interior (Game Service), the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment (Veterinary Services), the Police, and the Animal Police to remain vigilant and take preventive measures.

Emphasizing the principle that personal interests and disputes should not take precedence over the well-being of nature and innocent creatures, the Cyprus Animal Party asserts its commitment to closely monitor the evolving situation.
