The Cyprus health ministry announced three new coronavirus cases on Thursday, when 2,149 tests were conducted, bringing total cases detected so far to 1,498.
One of the new cases involved a resident of the Pournara migrant camp, who arrived in the Republic from Syria via Turkey and the north. The case was transferred to the Eden resort for isolation.
The second new case is asymptomatic and got tested on their own initiative.
The third new case, that has a recent history of travel to the Czech Republic, got tested after developing symptoms.
The Famagusta general hospital is currently treating four coronavirus patients in general wards, while one more coronavirus patient is receiving intensive care treatment at the Nicosia general hospital.
