The US experts tasked with scrutinizing the revelations in the Cyprus Confidential write-up regarding violations of sanctions against Russia have been in Cyprus since Sunday, December 3.
According to Deputy Government Spokesman Yiannis Antoniou, speaking to "SPOR FM 95.0" on the show "DIASPORA NEWS," the experts will finalize their contracts and commence their work. He emphasized that they will integrate into the Police investigative team and operate under its authority. Antoniou stressed that their involvement will not be parallel or independent, as they will not function autonomously within their institutional framework.
Simultaneously, he clarified that the US experts have specific terms of reference and access to classified information.
