The search for the sixth and final missing person from a sunken superyacht off the coast of Sicily is set to resume this morning.

According to a report on Sky News, authorities have yet to confirm the identities of four bodies recovered from the wreckage, despite some media reports suggesting otherwise. The process of retrieving the fifth body, located earlier, is still underway, according to Salvatore Cocina, head of Sicily’s civil protection agency.

Fire crews from the Vigili del Fuoco have been accessing the vessel through natural openings, avoiding any forced entry. The search operation involves remotely operated underwater vehicles, naval units, and cave divers, according to the Italian coastguard.

The missing individuals include Mike Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter, Hannah; Jonathan Bloomer, chairman of Morgan Stanley International, and his wife, Judy; and Clifford Chance lawyer Chris Morvillo and his wife, Neda Morvillo.

The body of Canadian-Antiguan national Recaldo Thomas, who worked as a chef on the superyacht, was recovered at the scene of the sinking on Monday.

An investigation into the incident is underway, with authorities reportedly questioning the ship's captain, James Cutfield, for two hours as they begin interviewing all crew members. Survivors are recovering at a hotel complex in Porticello, where authorities are also gathering witness statements.
