The first snowflakes of the winter season were seen falling on the Troodos mountains on Monday morning, with weather officials expecting snow to continue.

Minimum lows will register at 8 degrees in the interior, around 11 in the east, 10 in all other coastal regions, while it will be 3 degrees in the mountains where frost is also expected to form locally.
Weather officials also expect snow to fall at higher altitudes, essentially at the peaks of the Troodos Mountain range. Snow or sleet is also expected on Tuesday in the same areas, while temperatures are expected to rise slightly on Wednesday.
Midweek rain showers and isolated thunderstorms are also likely, with partly cloudy skies while sunshine mixed with cloud covers is expected on Friday.
