House prices hold ground with annual gains

Annual uptick in house prices, quarterly stability revealed

House prices were up on an annual basis in the second quarter of this year but remained more or less stable on a quarterly basis, a preliminary estimate released by the Cyprus Statistical Service on Tuesday shows.

In particular, according to the estimate, the House Price Index increased by 3.2% in the second quarter of 2023, compared to the same quarter of 2022.

The HPI for the second quarter of 2023 amounts to 109.72 units.

Compared to the first quarter of 2023, the HPI decreased by 0.4%.
