A 42-year-old received a 3.5-year jail sentence on Thursday after the Nicosia criminal court found him guilty to two counts of child grooming and two counts of sexual abuse of minors.
According to the events of the case, the 42-year-old was found guilty of harassing middle school students aged 14 and 15 on the social networking service Instagram.
The Nicosia criminal court had gained access to photographic and video evidence depicting the teenage boys masturbating naked.
In its ruling, the court also said the 42-year-old had also led the minors to become witnesses of sexual acts that did not involve them, as he had sent them photos and videos of his genitals while masturbating.
The convicted 42-year-old, who had admitted his guilt before the court, had in the past been convicted of similar offences.
