Two friends had the scare of their lives on Thursday night after an intoxicated man burst into a residence in Paphos, grabbed a knife, and injured one of them.
Police arrested a 42-year-old British man on Thursday night around 11:30pm, after a tenant contacted authorities to report an attack by an adult male who was in a state of drunkenness.
The 47-year-old resident, who was in his residence Thursday night with a friend, described as a 36-year-old male, told police that an intoxicated man full of rage broke the glass door on his patio.

The two friends locked themselves in another room while the British man was smashing things to pieces according to the complaint. The estimated cost in damaged property was €1000.
The man managed to flee the scene before law enforcement officers arrived at the residence, while he was later apprehended on Tombs of the Kings Avenue. The British man was immediately arrested for intoxication while committing a public disorder offence.
A police statement said the tenant went to the Emergency Room at Paphos General Hospital, where doctors on duty treated him for a broken arm and multiple cuts all over his body.
The suspect is facing multiple charges, including assault, property damage, and causing public disorder while intoxicated.
